Blizzard Sends Cease and Desist to Player for Roleplaying a Lawyer in Goldshire Inn
In the latest bizarre move from Blizzard’s legal team, a World of Warcraft player has received a cease and desist letter for roleplaying a lawyer in the infamous Goldshire Inn.
The player, known as Lawbringer69, had been entertaining fellow roleplayers in Goldshire with mock trials and legal debates when Blizzard’s lawyers swooped in to shut down the fun. ‘We cannot allow players to misrepresent themselves as legal professionals within the game world,’ said a Blizzard spokesperson.
This latest crackdown on in-game roleplaying comes on the heels of Blizzard banning players for cosplaying as Murlocs in capital cities and issuing warnings to those who use the /dance emote too provocatively.
Despite the cease and desist, Lawbringer69 has vowed to continue his legal theatrics in Goldshire. ‘I will not be silenced,’ he declared, donning a virtual wig and gavel in defiance of Blizzard’s legal team.
