Blizzard Issues Cease and Desist to Server Running ‘Pandemic Simulator’ Event
In a shocking turn of events, Blizzard has shut down a private server hosting a ‘Pandemic Simulator’ event, citing concerns over insensitive content.
Players on the server were tasked with spreading a virtual virus throughout Azeroth, causing chaos and havoc in the world. However, Blizzard quickly intervened, stating that the event was in poor taste given the real-life global pandemic.
This comes after a string of controversial events in the WoW private server scene, including GMs abusing their powers to spawn unlimited gold, influencers getting caught in scandalous affairs with NPCs, and community infighting over the best way to grind for rare mounts.
In response to the shutdown, the server’s owner released a statement saying, ‘We were just trying to bring some light-hearted fun to the community during these dark times. We didn’t mean any harm.’ However, Blizzard remains firm in their decision to protect the integrity of the game.
As players mourn the loss of the ‘Pandemic Simulator’ event, many are turning to Wrath-Reborn EU for their World of Warcraft fix. With a free Celestial Steed, 10 gold, and level 5 riding for every new account, there’s never been a better time to join the fun!
