Blizzard Sends Cease and Desist to WoW Private Server for Using Too Many Pandaren
In a shocking turn of events, Blizzard has cracked down on a popular private server for ‘excessive pandaren usage.’
Players on the Wrath of the Panda private server were left reeling this week after receiving a cease and desist letter from Blizzard Entertainment. The letter cited ‘blatant overuse of pandaren characters’ as the primary reason for the legal action, claiming that the server’s pandaren population had surpassed the official WoW servers.
Long-time players of Wrath of the Panda were quick to defend the server, arguing that the pandaren population was just a harmless quirk of the community. ‘We just really like pandas, okay?’ one player stated. ‘Blizzard should take it as a compliment that we’ve embraced their furry creations so wholeheartedly.’
Meanwhile, Blizzard’s legal team remained unmoved, insisting that the private server must adhere to the same race distribution quotas as the official game. ‘We can’t have rogue servers running amok with an unbalanced number of pandas,’ a spokesperson for Blizzard explained. ‘It throws off the delicate ecosystem of Azeroth.’
As the debate rages on, players of Wrath of the Panda are left wondering if they will have to say goodbye to their beloved pandaren characters. Will the server comply with Blizzard’s demands, or will they take a stand for panda rights? Only time will tell.
