Blizzard Sends Cease and Desist Letter to Grandma Running Molten Core Raid in Retirement Home
In a shocking turn of events, Blizzard has targeted a new demographic in their legal crackdown on private server activity.
Residents at the Sunny Meadows Retirement Home were left reeling this week after 87-year-old Ethel ‘LootMaster69’ Jenkins received a cease and desist letter from Blizzard Entertainment for hosting a weekly Molten Core raid in the communal activity room.
According to sources, Ethel had been organizing the raid for fellow retirees as a way to stay connected during the pandemic, but Blizzard took issue with the unauthorized use of their intellectual property.
In a statement to the press, Ethel expressed her disappointment, saying, ‘I just wanted to show these young whippersnappers how we used to do things back in my day. Now I guess we’ll have to go back to playing shuffleboard.’
Blizzard’s legal team has not shied away from targeting even the most unlikely of private server operators, leaving many in the community wondering who will be next on their hit list.
