Blizzard Legal Team Sends Cease and Desist Letter to World of Warcraft Private Server for Using Too Many ‘Z’s in Name

In a shocking turn of events, Blizzard’s legal team has set their sights on a World of Warcraft private server for the most absurd reason yet.

Players of the popular private server, ZZzWoW, were left scratching their heads this week as they received a cease and desist letter from Blizzard’s notoriously vigilant legal team. The reason? The server’s name apparently contains too many ‘Z’s, infringing on Blizzard’s intellectual property.

According to the letter, Blizzard claims that the excessive use of ‘Z’s in the server’s name is a clear attempt to mislead players into thinking it is an official Blizzard product. Players were quick to point out the irony of the situation, with one player quipping, ‘I guess we should be glad they didn’t go after us for using the letter ‘W.’

In response to the letter, the server’s admins have announced plans to rebrand as ‘ZZWoW’ in an attempt to comply with Blizzard’s demands. However, some players are already speculating that Blizzard will soon be sending another cease and desist letter for the remaining ‘Z.’

Meanwhile, the WoW private server community has been abuzz with rumors of other servers receiving cease and desist letters for similarly absurd reasons. One server reportedly received a letter for using a font that was ‘too similar’ to Blizzard’s official font, while another was targeted for allowing players to name their characters after popular Blizzard employees.

As the drama continues to unfold, one thing is clear: Blizzard’s legal team shows no signs of slowing down in their efforts to crack down on private servers, no matter how ridiculous the reasons may be.
